This Privacy Policy explains how Family Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Unpicky mobile application ("the App").

Unpicky is a feeding-support tool for parents and caregivers of children with selective or "picky" eating. The App is intended for use by adults. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the App.

Who this policy is for

The App is designed to be used by a parent or caregiver (the "account holder"). The account holder creates an account and provides information about a child in their care. The App is not directed to or intended for use by children, and we do not knowingly allow children to create accounts or use the App directly.

Information we collect

We collect the following information when you use the App:

Account information

• Email address
• Password (stored in encrypted/hashed form by our authentication provider)

Child profile information — provided by you, the account holder:

• The child's name (or nickname)
• Dietary restrictions or allergies you choose to record

Feeding activity

• Foods you mark as accepted ("safe foods")
• Food exposures you log, including the response level recorded
• Goals you set
• Weekly plans generated for the child and your interactions with them (for example, which food you focus on, or foods you skip)
• Optional notes you add when logging

Technical information

• A device push-notification token, if you enable notifications, so we can deliver plan reminders
• Basic technical data necessary to operate the App (for example, app version and error information)

We do not collect precise location data, contacts, photos, or microphone/camera input. We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information for third-party advertising.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the App, including generating weekly plans and food recommendations tailored to the child
• Track feeding progress over time
• Send notifications you have opted into (for example, when a new weekly plan is ready)
• Diagnose problems, maintain security, and improve the App
• Communicate with you about your account or the App

How information is shared

We do not sell your information. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf to operate the App:

• A cloud database, authentication, and hosting provider — stores your account, child profile, and feeding data, and runs the App's backend.
• A push-notification delivery service — if you enable notifications, your device's push token and the notification content are handled by our push provider and the underlying platform notification systems (Apple and Google) to deliver alerts to your device.
• A crash- and error-reporting service — when the App encounters an error, this service may receive technical information such as device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic details about the error, which helps us find and fix problems.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights or safety of users, or in connection with a business transfer.

Children's information

The App is a tool for adults. The account holder voluntarily provides information about a child in their care so the App can generate feeding plans for that child.

• We collect child-related information only from the adult account holder.
• We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
• The child's name may be a nickname or first name only — you choose what to enter.

If you believe a child has used the App directly or provided us information without a parent's involvement, please contact us so we can remove it.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active. When you request deletion of your account, we delete the associated account, child profile, and feeding data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records by law.

Your choices and rights

• Access and correction — you can view and edit your account and child profile information within the App.
• Notifications — you can turn push notifications on or off in your device settings.
• Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the address below.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information. Contact us to exercise them.

Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls through our hosting provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or by email.
